Original Japanese Woodblock Print Musha-e (Warrior Print) Oban Tate-e Diptych - Yoshitora Utagawa - c. 1850. One of The Battles of Kawanakajima between Takeda Shinjen and Uesugi Kenshin which took place in 1561. Uesugi Kenshin riding his horse with a long polearm, engaged in a fierce battle. Signed: Kinchoro Yoshitora ga in a red cartouche; Publisher: Ebisuya Shoshichi (both sheets); each sheet 10" x 14". Condition: Very Good; Color: Excellent; Impression: Excellent; Nice bleedthrough. Some minor wrinkling on the top, and very minor marks and flaws that would be consistent with age; Panels not joined.

Unique and Dramatic Old Custom-Designed and Worked Needlepoint of Tekkai Sennin and Gamma Sennin - The twoTaoist Immortals nicely portrayed in soft colors on a light tan ground - Tekkai Sennin with his head turned upward, blowing his soul toward Heaven and staff in hand, and Gamma Sennin with the Frog, his ever-present companion, seated on his right shoulder, and holding a circular object in his left hand. The text above is probably a dance or a song. Signed Toyokuni ga in a red toshidama cartouche.
