WELCOME TO MICHI TRADING COMPANY
We are proud to be celebrating our 36th year in business as Dealers in Fine Antiques and Art. Established in 1973 in Shreveport, LA as ET. CETERA, LTD., we operated a Shop offering General Antiques, Fine Art, Estate Jewelry, English, French, German and Oriental Furniture, with special emphasis on Chinese Antiques, Japanese Antiques and Works of Art.
The following year we opened a second shop, ROBERTA STEPHENS ANTIQUES, featuring Folk Art, Americana, and Louisiana Primitives.
We continued to expand and focus more intently on Japanese Antiques and Chinese Antiques. In the late 1970's we began exhibiting at Antique Shows and changed the name to MICHI TRADING COMPANY. Michi can be translated to mean 'the way' or 'path'.
In 1984, we relocated to Houston, TX. We no longer have a shop, but established an Internet presence in 1998 with our Michi Trading Company Website and began trading on Ebay as well.
Please enjoy browsing through our newly re-designed Website. You will find Antique Japanese Tansu, Japanese Woodblock Prints, Netsuke, Inro and Tobacco-related items, Scrolls, Chinese Jades, Porcelain, French and English and American Metalware, Walking Sticks, Estate Jewelry, Fine Art Prints and Paintings, along with an assortment of Books, including new and Hard-to-find old Art and Antiques Books, Art and Antiques Magazines and Vintage Auction Catalogues.
